Invisalign: How does it move my teeth?
Posted on 04/21/2014
With traditional braces the brackets and arch wires are responsibly in moving your teeth.  Whereas, with Invisalign it is the Invisalign aligners that move teeth through the appropriate placement of controlled force placed within the clear trays. The main difference is that Invisalign not only controls forces, but also the timing of the force application. During each stage, only certain teeth are allowed to move.  It is with these light constant forces placed on your teeth that is causing your teeth to move slowly in the proper direction until they are straight. These movements are determined by Dr. Andy as he maps out your unique Invisalign treatment plan.
